ABOUT THE ACADEMY

Purpose Driven Recovery Academy (PDRA) is just that... a school that helps you learn how to recover from addictions and get mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy.

You will also have a chance to discover your God given purpose by connecting with the one who created you and whether you are seeking work or retired and looking for purpose, we can help you find a way to use your gifts, talents, abilities, experiences and passions.

LINDA LARSON SCHLITZ

I was ready to throw in the towel and kill myself in 1976 until a 16 year old girl said 10 words that changed me forever "God loves you and has a plan for your life." Part of that plan was being here for you right now doing what I am doing.

Sobriety wasn't easy but I pushed through the tough stuff, got a degree in counseling and have been sharing my experience strength and hope for the last 35 years. I have written several books and won lots of awards but I am no better than anyone else. I am just "differently abled" and so are you. All I know is that I can't do what God has called me to do when I am drunk. Let me help you discover what you are on this earth for and how to do it without using an addiction to cope.

TAMMY OBERMEIER

Tammy was a news reporter who ended up near death and in the hospital for weeks after trying to bury her trauma in alcohol. She had a hard time reaching out because she feared others in the community would judge her. Once she did she found many other professionals like herself who needed help too. In the beginning, she hated God but later learned to depend on him and get involved in church and leading Christian Recovery meetings. Tammy is now a certified Peer Support Specialist, a Recovery Coach, and a Neurolinguistic Programming Coach. Tammy will be co-facilitating the 5-Day Mindful Sobriety Challenge and the HOPE for Recovery Program.

WHO IS GOING TO BE TEACHING?

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

Week 1- FINDING THE CRACKS! - We all have cracks in our foundation but you can't fix them if you don't see them and you can'd do it alone.

Week 3- FREEDOM FROM LEAKAGE - If we aren't familiar with fixing cracks we need an expert. Together we examine the tools and supplies to get started.

Week 2- YAY GOD! Great news! The one who created you can also fix the cracks...but what do you believe about Him? Here we will look at your belief system.

Week 8- FREEDOM IN THE LIST It's a great feeling to get rid of all that guilt and shame by letting go of pride admitting our wrongs.

Week 7- TIME FOR REPROGRAMMING -God made you with the ability to be at peace in spite of your human frailties. Here you will learn to renew your mind.

Week 4- YOU ARE SO AWESOME- No need to fear doing a self-assessment. Your great qualities far outweigh your mistakes. You can face them all.

Week 5- NO SHAME- It's hard to admit the secrets but you can let go of the shame that goes with them. Here we identify subconscious infections that make us sick.

Week 11- NEVER ALONE Learn how to hear God speak to you about his plan for your life every moment of every day! Serenity through spiritual connection.

Week 10- MINDFUL relationship building with self and others. How to stay on top of the daily irritations and expectations that lead to resentments.

Week 6- GETTING IN SHAPE! We can't get fit when we don't have the proper mindset. Here we will work on reprogramming to make the foundation solid

Week 12- PURPOSE DRIVEN SOBRIETY- Nothing is wasted. Here you can identify the amazing Faucet of HOPE you are to the world and how to use it.

WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?

* Watch the videos, do your daily worksheets, read the readings and show up every day in the group to do your 3 G's (Gratitude, what are you Good at and Goals)

* Attend the weekly group coaching to share your insights on the assignments and help others.

* Engage in the 1-1 private coaching as needed.

Week 9- JOY IN FORGIVENESS- When we say we are sorry we are free even if others don't forgive us. You will also learn to forgive yourself using NLP strategies.

Is there a little voice saying "you should check this out" or "hey maybe it's time you do this," or "what are you waiting for?"

Many times when God is speaking to us we know but we try to hide. Consider the following

* How much have you spent on alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, gambling or other addictions a month?

* How much work have you missed or done poorly because you don't feel well after a night out and what is the cost to those missed days?

* How about your health? How much are you spending on visits to the doctor, pharmacy, emergency room, treatment centers etc

* What about legal? Have you been lucky enough to not get caught driving under the influence or other things? Have you avoided doing dumb illegal stuff when you were high or drunk?

* What about relationships and living situations? Have you messed up to the point of a breakup? Housing issues? Child support? Other costs?
